Weather

Like most of India, Bhubaneshwar too experiences three prime climates. The summers begin here from April and continue till June. Atri:- 42 kms from Bhubaneshwar, Atri is the site for hot springs believed to have medicinal values to cure many ailments. The famous shrine of Hatkeshwar is also located here.

Nandankanan:- Located 20 kms from Bhubaneshwar, Nandankanan meaning the Garden for pleasures is a wild life reserve serving as the natural habitat for many wilds along with a botanical park having trees and plants of some rare and interesting breeds. The national park got international attention when the litters of white tiger were born to two normal tawny tigers. Today it the abode for many wilds like lions, clouded leopard, black panthers, European brown bears, Himalayan black buck, gharials and hundreds of species of avi fauna.
