Shahastradhara:- This is one of the most popular sites in Dehradun. It comprises of hundreds of falls coming out from a mountain range. FRI:- The architecture of the Forest Research Institute pulls crowd equivalent to the number which comes attracted towards the specimen of scores of plants kept inside. Wood samples, insects, furniture, wildlife, few stuffed animals, library and bookshop are the other prime attractions here.
Wadia Institute of Himalayan Geology:- This institute has proudly been exhibiting the rocks, semi precious stones and fossils found in the Himalayan region in its museum.
Malsi Deer Par:- This park has got some rare varieties of the deer species.
Robber’s cave:- It is popular picnic destination where a spring can be seen coming out of a cave. The picturesque location of this site converts it into a popular tourist destination of Dehradun.
Tapkeshwar is the famous cave temple dedicated to Lord Shiva while Tapovan refers to the woods where Guru Dronacharya the teacher of Pandavas and Kauravas in Mahabharata is believed to have meditated during his penance.
Dehradun is an adobe for the research institutes.
