An ultimate destination for every Hindu devotee, Varanasi, also referred as Banaras, has a lot to offer to the people from all walks of life. Another important temple here is Gowdi Matha Temple, where shells are presented to the goddess. The temples and ghats have given a new definition to the tourism in Varanasi.

At Chunar, you have Kaimur Hills which offer you the wonderful sight of River Ganges moving swiftly. You also have Chandraprabha Wildlife Sanctury where you would spot a vast variety of plants and animals.

Kushinagar and Sarnath are the places that every diehard Buddhist would love to pay a visit. At Sarnath, Buddha temples along with ancient monuments dating back to the 12 century richly add sacred essence to the city. On the other hand, Kushinagar is related to Buddha because Buddha left his body at this place Buddha left his body and makred it with sacred importance.

A major place of religious significance and much frequented by Hindu pilgrims, Varanasi is the centre of attraction for many people. There exist an array of Jain and Hindu temples, Buddhist Stupas and many other places that amuse you completely. At 10 Km distance from Varanasi, there is Sarnath, which is well known for Gautam Buddha’s first preaching. Satnath quite effectively delineates structures and monuments that date back to the primitive Ashokan period.

Another interesting place that is worth visiting is Chunar, famous for Chunar Fort and this place lies at a distance of 40 Km from Varanasi. With Kaimur Hills forming its base, Chunar Fort looks spectacular when the waters of the River Ganges flow through it.
